Ray won’t spray
Ray Martin's autobiography won't be a bitter tirade against the media and Nine he reckons.

Ray Martin says his autobiography won’t “squeal and moan” about the TV industry. Guess that means it won’t be another Who Killed Channel Nine? That book was written by his old boss at 60 Minutes, Gerald Stone.
Or even the ‘fictional’ Boned. Shame… that might have made it a must-read.
Instead Martin covers his earliest years as an ABC radio journalist through to his days on Nine.
He devotes space to his media-shy family and to the great interviews of his career- Don Bradman, Fred Hollows. The book is apparently without bitterness about the industry. Still, Martin has been outspoken before about the state of news and current affairs, including on the final episode of Sunday and at the Andrew Olle Media Lecture.
Despite quitting Nine in early 2008, Martin is still doing the odd piece for 60 Minutes, an arrangement he hopes will continue after his book is published.
Wonder if John Safran will be first in line for a signed copy?

I reckon Ray should take over hosting roles of Missing Persons Unit, at Nine….
Its a fairly low profile role, only narrating and walking down a street in sydney somewhere..
Keeps him in touch with Nine.. I reckon ist his kind of show. A journo has started it (Mike Munro) and a journo should carry on with the show!
He’s already missed the March deadline, now he’s saying he won’t squeal or moan.
Someone sold Random House a pup!
A show sound good in theory for Ray on Sky News, but imagine him dithering and splattering through Live television like he has for years past.
Does anyone else think Ray Martin should join Sky news? Maybe a weekend morning show or a nightly show with interviews and days other headlines. Also i was watching the O’Reilly Factor on fox news last year or so and bill oreilly read out a email from someone called ‘Ray Martin’ dont know if it was him or not but sky news could make a show like the O’Reilly Factor, but not as much opinion.
This is what sky news should be
Weekdays
6pm-7pm Jim Waley – including interviews
7pm-8pm PM Agenda w/ David spears, just like it is now but for 1hr.
8pm-9pm Ray Martin
& then 10pm-11pm 180: the other side of the news
and then a morning weekend show. Anyone what to add something else?
Ray is clever keeping the doors at channel nine open by not dishing the dirt on nine………………rays life story how boring l wont be buying his book
Why would anyone at all want to read this?
OMG – Ray really does have tickets on himself… Why would anyone care about his earliest days at ABC and then at Nine.
Ray its time to realise that the days of Gold Logies are over and move on – and maybe with some grace and dignity.
