Returning: King of the Hill

Seven changes its mind on new Beauty & the Geek and brings back King of the Hill instead.

koth1Seven returns King of the Hill to screen in two weeks time, airing 12am Friday May 15 (Thursday night May 14) in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, 11:30pm Thursday in Sydney and Brisbane.

It’s back with “Grand Theft Arlen” S11 E8 from April 2007.

Seven had planned a new series of Beauty & The Geek for Thursday nights, but that appears to be shelved. The current series concludes next week at 12am Friday.

  1. @Damein: what about those who find both king of the hill and family guy funny, which group do they belong in? Cause i find both shows hilarous

  2. People who don’t understand the comedy of King of the Hill are those who think Family Guy is actually humorous.

I think Fox8 are actually running Season 11 episodes on Sunday nights now, so hopefully 7 will keep in front by 3-4 episodes.

  3. Oops – my mistake with Futurama, wrote the wrong show there. Point still the same.

Even if you could series link these shows on 7 and 9, chances are you’d miss up to 10 mintutes of the start as nothing ever starts on time that late at night. You’d have to set your IQ to start 10 mins early.

  4. I can’t stand the animation style of this series, its really ugly. I’m with mikey that it wasn’t too entertaining either, it reminded me of tryhard MTV cartoons like Beavis and Butthead and Daria more than the witty cartoon it tried to be.

  5. Too little, too late Seven. Not to mention a timeslot not worth a damn. Their treatment of King of the Hill over the years has been beyond pathetic. Clearly it’s not doing them any favours. Just sell it to TEN already!!!! Jeez… 🙁

    @ Jed
King of the Hill is currently in it’s 13th season, and there are still enough production order episodes left to air a 14th (and final) season for the 2009-10 season. Fox has had a history of renewing the series at the last minute, though I think this may be the end for KotH.

  6. Futurama is owned by Ten now.

I have no doubt in my mind that 7 could have a strong animation/comedy night.

Family Guy, American Dad, 30 Rock and if you can call them comedy Scrubs and Earl.

  7. I wish 7 has series link for there shows on the IQ so I could record these shows easier then goin thru the EPG each week

ABC,SBS and TEN have Series Link on there shows on the IQ 7 and 9 don’t

  8. Why don’t 7 put all these half hour shows into the one night – King of Hill, Scrubs, Earl, Futurama, etc rather than being randomly scattered around their schedule. It would actually make more sense to have King of Hill on with Futurama, Earl with scrubs, or 30 Rock, etc…
