With the success of its Better Homes and Gardens brand under its belt, Seven has now completed a pilot for a TV series built around New Idea.
Like BH&G, New Idea is a Pacific Magazine, part of the Seven Media family.
According to B&T Today the pilot is for a daily Seven series.
The format is expected to be similar to Seven’s cooking series New Idea’s Saturday Kitchen, which ran from 2005 and 2006.
With the mag’s celebrity, gossip, fashion and cooking expect these to comprise part of the show. Two years ago Nine’s The Catch-Up had a tie-in with its a PBL magazines.

Ok, so basically 7 will have Sunrise, The Morning Show and this every day lol!!!
Good move 7 lol
sunday night i meant
@ mathew.
today tonight. sunday
Oh please, New Idea is a joke as it is. I want to say that people won’t want an hour full of tell-tale baby bumps and z-list celebrities without make up but sadly, they probably do as Sunrise and the Kyle and Jackie O show seem to be reliant on it. Although, if I recall correctly, the tv show for Famous magazine didn’t exactly win any awards.
God help us if Pac mags do a “That’s Life!” TV show…. 😕
at least we know what to expected from this show. Today Tonight and Sunrise are too over of top.
Trashy mag, even trashier television.
the only difference between this series and today tonight is that the new idea show won’t pretend to be a current affairs program. although if seven does new this series correctly i think it will get a decent following.
dano, please name these other “fake” and “false” shows on seven?
Looks like the Sunrise family will control your whole day
another fake and false show by seven
