Well there’s no denying who’s funny and who isn’t here. The wonderful Tracey Ullman has been announced as the replacement programme for The Chaser’s War on Everything beginning tonight.
Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union is another collection of irreverent skits that sees the acclaimed performer take on everything from Laura Bush to Renee Zellwegger (pictured) to Bollywood musicals.
ABC originally slated this over summer, but it failed to surface.
The US comedy will also replace the suspended show on ABC2 on Thursday nights.
The remainder of the series will screen on ABC1 Tuesday’s at 9:25pm beginning June 23. .
This bumps Mumbai Calling which will now have its finale (ep 7) on June 16. Unaired eps are yet to be announced.
ABC will return Chaser from June 24.

This is Ullman’s own take on “Little Britain” and isn’t very funny.
There are only 7 eps of Mumbai Calling.
Last night was Ep 5. Ep 6 is due on June 16.
Looks like we will be 1 ep short.
6 is skipped for 7.
I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, this is a complete over-reaction from the ABC. The Chaser may have even cracked the 2million mark this week with all the publicity.
I have never watched Mumbai Calling, but since when does the ABC bump shows for not performing? Was it a bomb?
David, why is the abc bumping Mumbai Calling? And how many episodes are there to air?
Mumbai is being bumped because of The Chaser issues. Tracy Ullman replaces them for 2 of 5 eps so the balance of 3 had to go somewhere and it seems Mumbai lucked out. I’d need to check but I think there’s about 2 unaired.
Not sorry to see Mumbai go, just didn’t compare with the subtle brilliance of Lead Balloon. (Baloon?)
