homeMADE gets second hour on Tuesday

Nine finds time to bring back a second hour of homeMADE. Plus changes to 9HD and more.

david_heimannAfter announcing the changes to homeMADE on Wednesday, now Nine has rescheduled the second hour, which will run at 9:30pm on Tuesday June 16.

That means the line up is now:

7:30pm homeMADE
8:30pm Two and a Half Men (rpts x 2)
9:30pm homeMADE
10:30pm Embarrasing Illnesses rpt

As a result Victorian viewers will miss out on Kitchen Nightmares USA which had been airing there.

Over on its 9HD channel on the same night, Nine now has:

10:30pm The War at Home (series return)
11:00pm The Class (series return)
11:30pm Justice

Justice is the Jerry Bruckheimer produced legal drama starring Victor Garber and Kerr Smith.

There are also changes to Wednesday June 17th with a one hour RPA at 8pm and Cold Case at 9pm.

    Don’t you ever get frustrated with homeMADE? I’m into interior design too (and architecture) and the way those people get so bitchy and can’t follow guidelines at all makes me really annoyed.
    Seriously, you can do a lot with $50,000, yet they continually complain about budget constraints.

    Some of the ideas that they have are ok, but the way they get executed is anything but nice in a lot of the designs I’ve seen on the show so far.

    If the show toned things down a few knotches I’d probably be inclined to watch again.

    I guess it was too hard for them to edit the show down to 1 hour a week *sigh*

  4. David can you please tell me if Michael Healy is still the Network Programming Director at Nine and if he is how the hell is he, and if Seven bring back PTTR soon then Nine could possibly drop below 20% of the share on Tuesday’s with this p*** poor lineup.

  5. I agree. The scheduling @ channel is ridiculous. I agree that a 2 hour block would make more sense! Why not 8.30-10.30 and move another 2.5 men repeat an hour earlier.
    Considering Ch9 is the 2.5 men and CSI x3 and mostly new show flops. I am not surprised people tune out. Having said that they may win the ratings this week….

  6. I am no T.V programmer but what in the hell is the logic behind having the first episode of homeMADE at 7.30pm, then the second at 9.30pm? The show is a dud so why would you cut off the audience (that it does have) like that, hoping that they come back an hour later and not find interest elsewhere, or go to bed?

    But hey, these are the same programmers that have in the last 9 weeks on Channel Nine had the following different shows in the 9.30 Tuesday slot, and all of them have come a distant third to NCIS and 10 Years Younger..

    20 to 1
    Ramsay / Kitchen Nightmares
    Underbelly Uncut (three weeks)
    The wedding Crashers
    Miss Congeniality 2

  8. Agree with Andrew B. That line up seems great (obviously better than the one they have now)!

    I actually watch homeMADE every time its on. I’m addicted to it. (cos I am an interior designer).

    However, they should just show the eps back-to-back. Seems stupid to chuck Men in between. It will lose viewers after the first ep. Or, it could gain viewers for the second ep, just have to wait and see which one happens.

  11. I’ll be Captain Obvious today and say this schedule is really, really stupid. I highly doubt people are going to come back to homeMADE after an hour of Men repeats. And, echoing earlier comments, why don’t they put a show that they’ve yanked off in the 10:30 slot to keep some fans happy? It just reeks of stupidity.

  12. I’ve tried watching homeMADE a few times, but I just cannot get into it. A lot of the designs they come up with just make me want to throw up. I try to watch the show with an open mind to see how they go with ideas/styles which I don’t really like, but they just make a lot of the rooms they renovate look tacky.

    I reckon Andrew B’s idea is awesome. I’d totally watch Survivor and ER. I can’t stand watching Nine at all anymore because of them just oversaturating shows to try and get ratings.

  17. Programming does not make sense at all. Two hour block better. Why keep 2.5 Men on at 8.30. Then again, Tue on 9 is pretty well dead air.

    It’d be the night to put on all of the shows they’ve axed or are not showing for whatever reason. Here’s an idea (assuming HomeMADE bumped elsewhere):
    7.30 Survivor.
    8.30 ER
    9.30 11th Hour
    10.30 Fringe
    11.30 News.

    No repeats. All new shows. What is there to lose – their Tue night’s are so bad. These shows I suggest actually have fans and will rate.

  20. would have made more sense to just run it for two hours on tuesday, 7.30 to 9.30, better to have first run stuff in earlier slots then put repeated s*** later on if they need to

  22. i dont watch the show – but have seen snippets of it while ‘channel hopping’ on addbreaks from other channels. What i find funny about this show is that with regards to 2 of the male judges – it’s like a competition of who has the more retro/camp/funky glasses. Rubbish show.

  23. Nine are completely out of new 2.5 men episodes for the next 3 months, it will be 9 repeats a week for the next season.

    And I reckon it would make more sense to put HomeMade in a 2 hour block from 7.30-9.30pm, 2.5 men rates in every slot so pushing it back an hour isn’t too bad a move.

  24. that is a stupid scheduel, i no home made is no hit, but wouldn’t it be better 2 play it from 7:30 – 9:30. Asking viewers to come back 1 hour later is just stupid. thank god for tens awsome tuesday
