Returning: Damages

Glenn Close and Rose Byrne return for another knife-turning series of lies, deception, power and fraud.

damagesIn case you missed the reference earlier, the second season of Damages will have its Australian premiere on the W Channel on Thursday July 16th.

The series leads straight out of the first season, currently screening on Friday nights.

Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan all return for another knife-turning series of lies, deception, power and fraud. Once again there is a non-linear, noir-ish style to this FX drama.

This season they are joined by William Hurt (Close’s former Big Chill co-star), Marcia Gay Harden and Deadwood’s Timothy Oliphant.

It’s been a long time in between seasons for Aussie viewers who first saw the show on Channel Nine. But devotees know exactly why it has attracted award nominations and wins. Close is a lionness in this drama. Watch your back…

Repeat screenings can be seen on Saturdays at 4.40pm and Sundays at 9.10pm.

Are you serious, the 2nd series was awesome…..

  2. This is one of the best shows ever, im also very happy what W decided to screen this show. ive always wanted a FX style channel on foxtel and i think W is turning away from their womans style programing to other styles now that Nip/tuck is now on W, im not saying womans wouldn’t watch these shows but i really like the directing W is taking, its also very good that it is repeated thought out the weekend.

  3. I’m so grateful that W decided to screen this show. I started watching season 1 on Nine, but as usual got frustrated with changing schedules etc. I’m hooked on the first season, fantastic writing, brilliant acting and a plot that twists and turns. Can’t wait for season 2 !
