In case you hasn’t noticed the San Remo Song Festival is currently airing across five weeks on SBS.
This popular Italian song contest, in fact called the San Remo Music Festival, has run annually in the city of San Remo since 1951. As the inspiration for the Eurovision Song Contest it has launched the careers of Andrea Bocelli, Giorgia Todrani, Laura Pausini and Eros Ramazzotti.
This year Katy Perry, Jim Carrey, Kevin Spacey, Annie Lennox, Burt Bacharach and Hugh Heffner (what the?) all appeared at the festival.
It is airing at 1pm Saturdays on SBS.
