The SciFi Channel will premiere the UK supernatural series, Demons, next month.
The six part series premieres Thursdays at 8.30pm, from August 27 and repeats Fridays at 10am and Sundays at 6.30pm.
The story follows the adventures of Luke Rutherford (Christian Cooke) who is an average teenager, until his dead father’s best friend, Rupert Galvin (Philip Glenister) enters his life. Rupert is a demon hunter from America with a sarcastic sense of humour.
He is also Luke’s godfather and has come to tell Luke that he is the great-grandson of the legendary Abraham Van Helsing.
Luke is now charged with the role of slaying the gathering dark forces of the world whilst trying to live an ordinary life of exams and parties.
The series was produced by Shine Reveille for ITV, created by Merlin’s Johnny Capps & Julian Murphy and premiered in the UK in January.

There is nothing to catch up to in the UK – it’s already met it’s maker.
I might give this show a go just because its going to be on sci-fi , and its good to see some exclusive content coming to the australian sci-fi network, they really need it, also when they do catch up to the uk I hope they play the eps just after they premier in the uk
Even though I have heard negative comments about I will still be watching this show.
