Gone: Christine, CSI: NY, Returning: Kitchen Nightmares, Commercial Breakdown

Nine has responded, as we knew they all would, to it's under-performing Tuesday night line up. But don't get excited.

ramsayNine has responded, as we knew they all would, to it’s under-performing Tuesday night line up which this week saw its share dip to just 18.9%.

But its replacement programmes don’t look much better.

This week the line-up was:

7:30 Two and a Half Men rpt
8:00 The New Adventures of Old Christine
8:30 20 to 1
9:30 CSI: New York

Next Tuesday it now plans:

7:30 20 to 1
8:30 Two and a Half Men
9:00 Two and a Half Men
9:30 Commercial Breakdown Adults Only
10:15 Kitchen Nightmares: USA

Christine is now out of schedule on Nine (though it is coming to GO!) while new eps of CSI: NY are out.

Hosting the “naughtiest and sexiest commercials” is Dermott Brereton with Gyton Grantley as a guest.

It will be interesting to see how Ramsay performs since his public admonishing. Kitchen Nightmares: USA is episode 12 of S2 “Cafe 36” from January. Another will air a week later, but Nine looks like running out of fresh eps from there.

Meanwhile still no change for Australia’s Perfect Couple, which had just as poor figures, but more network ker-ching invested.

  1. I’m sorry but didn’t they pull Commercial Breakdown off when it didn’t rate the first time??? Puh-lease! Put CSI-NY back on you idiots.

Oh and speaking of 2.5 Men & TBBT, has anyone noticed that 9 have been cutting off the credits and thus removing Chuck Lorre’s hilarious vanity cards! Stop with the cutting 9!

  2. I am so annoyed with Nine and their lack of respect for their loyal CSI viewers. I absolutely love CSI: NY – it’s my favourite out of all of them. I might have to take on what others have done and buy it on DVD. Why are they producing crap like “Australia’s best couple” – who cares! Bring back CSI: NY!!!!

  3. I love CSI NY but am tired of channel 9 changing the days & times of the show every week so I’ve lost track of the current series. I’ve just bought the series on DVD. So much easier!!

  4. I think Gordon is going to fail. He will not succeed in tonight’s ratings. I thought Nine would have realized, after what he said about their own presenters and staff, that he would not be welcome here anymore. I just hope he doesn’t make it in the ratings top 30!

  5. Why the hell do nine keep putting that D***head Ramsay on! Its bad enough having to endure the headlines and articles about him bullying a few of nine’s own then having to see his ugly mug on that channel! and as for that crap call ‘Commercial Breakdown’ it should be called ‘ Channel Nine’s Breakdown’ beacuse Nine is headed that way after it keeps axing CSI:NY and Old Christine after a week or so.

  6. Nine is worse now than ever.

I remember the Nine of Old with things like My Two Dads,All Together Now,My Two Wives,Different Strokes,Cosby and Married with Children for comedies and for game shows we had the Price is Right for a lead in programme to the News and Sale of the Century later known as Temptation.

These days it’s bus loads of 2.5 men,CSI, 20 to 1,Gordon Ramsay and the Footy Show that the network is famous four

  7. Put CSI:NY on the same time each week so it can gain a following! I love it but miss it constantly because it gets moved around so often. I use to pretty much only watch 9. Now I rarely even flick the channel to 9. Pulling shows after 1 week is ridiculous. Sure Two and half Men is funny the first time, maybe even the second time. But it loses its comedic value the 7th time each episode is repeated. What on Earth has happened to Channel 9 in the past 3 or so years?

  8. lol…9 are reaping what they have sown over the last couple of years – absolute discontent from viewers being relentlessly jerked around by seriously out of touch programmers.

  9. Unfortunately it’s bad timing for me to go get one. Besides I’m told I like and watch TV (and movies) too much as it is so probably don’t need more things to watch.

  10. Ummm… what happened to Singing Bee?

It went off air, then promos lately, then nothing???

It’s quite a fun show, are they wanting to kill it before it returns?

  11. Yes! Keep it up channel nine, thats how you keep viewers. Get a grip nine and give shows at least a month. But its ok I will just go and buy the DVDs and watch at my leisure.

  12. We get trash like Dance Your Ass Off or constant repeats of 2 1/2 Men, yet they have new episodes of reasonably successful shows already filmed that can’t get a run!

    Unbelievable.

  13. And once a f!!!ing again Nine has axed season 5 of CSI NY. From memory only one episode was on the same time as a previous week. They started episode one November last year, and they are only up to episode 10 (from memory). Hopefully it will get a more stable run on Go!

How can Nine expect a show like this to get a following where they much up the schedule so badly (usually after the printed guides are released). Add to that, NRL states get reruns on Monday night, and everyone gets seriously confused.

    Not happy Nine.

  14. How appalling: 1 week of Old Christine and I didn’t even get to see it. On Tuesdays, viewers have a choice between two of the most stable schedules on TV (7 & 10) or something on Nine which will change every week. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out what people will watch.
