Friday the 13th for Kids’ Choice Awards

Friday the 13th of November is the date Nickelodeon will slime its celebrities once more.

kca4Nickelodeon has announced the date of its 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards: Friday the 13th of November. Spooky.

The event will once again be held at Hisense Arena in Melbourne, but shifts from a Saturday to the Friday.

Now in its 7th year, the event has garnered growing coverage for its A list stars who walk the Orange Carpet (and possibly a few B and C listers too). Previous names have included Zac Efron, Jesse McCartney, Shane Warne, WWE’s John Cena, Natalie Bassingthwaighte (pictured), Rove McManus, Ricki-Lee, The Veronicas and Short Stack.

“This show belongs to kids – it’s all about honouring their opinions and letting them vote for the celebrities that they love best in the world of entertainment,” says Katrina Southon, General Manager of Nickelodeon.

“All over the world, the Kids’ Choice Awards are a high profile and much anticipated event. The Australian version is an award-winning production, and Melbourne made an amazing location for the show last year, with the outdoor simulcast screening and activities at Federation Square – so we can’t wait to take it back there for 2009.

“This is the biggest TV event for kids in Australia, and Nickelodeon loves delivering the excitement of the show to kids all around the country,” says Southon.

KCAs are also a good change to register who is what and who isn’t.

The names of this year’s co-hosts and presenters are yet to be announced.

  1. You can’t buy mosh pit tickets, I’ve gone in the mosh pit for three years. The woman who runs the KCA’s children go to my school and she lets 4th- 6th graders who attend the school in the mosh pit. Just letting you know.

  2. hey i am going to the KCAs this year and i want to be in the moshpit, but i have one question.

are the moshpit tickets same price as the standing tickets?

    thanx for helping me.

  3. Lucky Melbourne you get to host the kca again. Im really sad cause I cant go I missed out last year as well, Melbourne is to far away. Ive been to the sydney awards 3 times. Whoever goes will have the best night. Maybe they could come back to sydney next year, then maybe melbourne and sydney could take turns in hosting it. I think my mum enjoys it more then us, she says the tickets are really cheap.

  4. Heeey everyone,
