Victorian premier and "Weather Nerd" John Brumby looks set to make a guest appearance as a weather presenter on Seven News.

Victorian premier John Brumby is a “weather nerd” according to 3AW’s Neil Mitchell, and spends a lot of his personal time devouring weather patterns.
So Mitchell proposed an idea that Brumby make a guest appearance as a TV weather man.
“I’d love to do it when there’s a really wet week,” Brumby told 3AW.
AW quickly liaised for Seven News Melbourne director Steve Carey to take to the idea.
“I think it sounds an awesome idea, I’m all for it,” Carey told AW. “You can take this as a formal request that we would love to have the premier on doing the weather, whenever he chooses. We think that’d be a hoot.”
The idea is being floated as a one-off weekend appearance, with a date yet to be announced.
“As long as he knows his isobars from an isotope, we’re away,” said Carey.
Meanwhile, Nine News, which yesterday launched its new-look set, has its own on-going ‘weather storyline’ with the daily progress of an expectant Livinia Nixon -although she’s currently on holidays with Today‘s Steve Jacobs filling in.
All eyes now on TEN to see what tricks it has up its sleeve for its weather guy, Mike Larkan.

I would watch just for the novelty factor, but let’s face it, Mike Larkin is by far the best weather presenter around – a very entertaining guy indeed.
