Last night Arena filmed its final catwalk for Project Runway Australia 2009 in Melbourne.
Before a throng of fashion, media and celebrity invitees there were 5 emerging designers who all showed they have what it takes to muscle their way into the Australian fashion industry.
Black is definitely in this year, with three of the five collections dominated by the city’s favourite colour.
Mentor Henry Roth played MC for the evening, keeping the audience entertained in between takes, while host Kristy Hinze, and judges Sarah Gale and Jayson Brunsden watched on, assisted by two additional guest judges.
Arena kept everyone guessing with only three of the five designers actually in the running for the year’s title, and no winner announced on the night.
That happens today in a closed set filming as the judge’s reveal their decision.
The show airs 8:30pm Wednesdays on Arena.
