ChildrenofDuneSecondskinGO! will air Frank Herbert’s Children of Dune, a 2003 sequel to the 2000 miniseries Frank Herbert’s Dune.

The Sci Fi Channel contracted writer/director Harrison to write a sequel using his idea to combine Frank Herbert’s subsequent novels, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune.

He has said in interviews that he believed both novels to be two parts of the same story, which essentially concludes the story of House Atreides.

Twelve long years have passed since Paul Maud’dib Atreides (Alec Newman) rose to power on the embattled desert planet Arrakis, having avenged the traitorous plot against his royal family. His battle to vanquish what is left of the Old Imperial armies in the universe has continued, but secret enemies still plot to gain control of the mysterious life force of Dune. In this stunning epic miniseries, sequel to “Frank Herbert’s Dune,” the son of Maud’dib’ will grow to become ruler of the powerful House of Atreides. But his rise will unleash unimaginable forces that will once again threaten the peace and stability of this royal regime.

The cast includes James McAvoy and Susan Sarandon. Although it was a 3 part 266 min miniseries, GO! will air as a 195min show 2 parter, at 8:30pm Friday Oct 2nd.
