The W Channel has picked up the rights to US reality series She’s Got The Look, in which women over the age of 35 compete for a modelling contract. One of the contestants is 63 years old.
Hosted by supermodel Kim Alexis (pictured), its judging panel consists of Beverly Johnson, the first African-American to grace the cover of Vogue in 1974, stylist Robert Verdi and President of Wilhelmina Models, Sean Patterson.
Penny Win from W said: “We know it is not just the younger audiences watching and loving shows like the Australian and American versions of Next Top Model or Project Runway.
“With the swell of interest in having older and real women on screen and in advertising campaigns, the timing seems right for a show such as She’s Got The Look to celebrate both age and beauty.”
Series one, which aired in the US in June 2008, will premiere Saturday October 17th at 7.30pm with a second series to play early in 2010.
