Farmer doesn’t want a wife

One half of a Farmer Wants a Wife couple, found out her romance was over after reading it in TV Week.

gavinRebecca Davis, one half of a Farmer Wants a Wife couple, found out about the state of her romance with Queensland sugar cane farmer Gavin Pahlke (pictured) after reading TV Week.

Pahlke is reported in the article as saying the pair were at a “standstill/stop/don’t know” phase -which was news to Davis, 45.

She now says, “my heart is broken” after reading the article. Their romance had remained strong five months after filming ended.

“I can’t quite believe it. I read all the stories saying we were broken up, but Gavin just kept saying that he hated the media and I thought he wanted to lay low,” Rebecca said.

David said her heart was broken by the news.

She said she spoke to Pahlke on the telephone after reading the article.

“He simply said that he did not want to break up with me and that he had to sort out things in his life. He said he was afraid of getting hurt or hurting me,” she said.

“Things are very black and white for me. You either want to be with someone or you don’t and that’s when I decided that this was not the kind of relationship that I wanted to be in anymore.”

Davis says she hopes they can remain friends.

From the fourth series, only NSW farmers Brad and Scott remain with their chosen ladies.

Nine is yet to indicate if it will proceed to a fifth series.

Really, have any of the farmers on the show gotten through to marrying one of their “suitors” yet? :/
