Yes, ‘Amanda Woodward’ is returning to the address that made her so famous (Ok, the stuff Heather had done before? Not a patch, sorry).

She will appear in an episode in the US on November 17th and is expected to play Katie Cassidy’s boss at a PR firm.

She will follow former castmates Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bisset and Daphne Zuniga, who have all reprised their roles in the remake.

Nabbing Locklear is quite a victory for the CW drama, especially given it made a disappointing debut and took uninspiring reviews.

“We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place,” said executive producers Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer.

“Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

No word on how many eps for Ms. D & D Advertising.

  1. Yes, I also thought that Ella will be Amanda’s daughter … how perverse is it to have all these children taking over from where their parents left off … how brilliant!
    The first two episodes have been interesting … not great, but good … can’t wait for Amanda to return to get it all back on track like she did in the original series …. this is soooo much better than 90210!!!!

  3. Matthew, well maybe Amanda is Ella’s mum? Although they already have done that scenario with a few of the new school and old school characters so they’re probably unrelated…but who knows in Melrose land…perhaps Ella will sort of do a Dr Kimberly Shaw and rip her face off to reveal Amanda underneath! hehe
