  1. A truly Australian show….i can’t tell you how much i am enjoying your show again. Please please make it a saturday live show again !! Even the younger generation is laughing…what fun!!!
    Pure fun!!!
Dicky i missed you!!!! Daryl you haven’t changed and neither have the others.
All the best…i hope they bring you all back.

  2. @ camo, so only poeple with a positiive opinion of the show need post. a comment?
I watched thought the show should have been left in the 90’s same old jokes and noise effects.

  3. Fabulou show – channel 9 have to bring this back. It was so funny with Dickie & Molly’s little dog – soo cute!
Thankyou to Daryl & the team for putting together a fantastic show – loved every moment of it!!
Bring back Hay Hey channel 9!!!

  4. Tonight’s show was brilliant. The only downside was that even though I had also set the Apprentice repeat to record on my IQ, because it was on at 10:00 after HHIS and I knew Hey Hey would run overtime, then bloody channel nine puts in Nine Late News at 10:00 so you can assume what happened, I didn’t get anything after Plucka Duck. Other than that, it filled a void in me which I had for many years. I spent my primary school years growing up with Hey Hey, watching it with the family every Saturday night. This was the first time I had watched a show with my whole family and as others have said, watched channel nine for this long straight since… they Hey Hey finale in ’99! Can’t wait for next week which should be even better!

  5. Great to have a laugh on telly for a change. Good move by nine and followed by a special bulletin covering the tsunami – back to what nine did best – relevant live TV. Would be great to see HHIS as a regular feature in the schedule. Rove has been good for the last 10 years but is now stale itself. Maybe we should alternate between HHIS and Rove every 10 years?

  6. Congrats daryl and all the hey hey team, you captured the old magic. Loved every minute. To those who didnt like it dont watch next week. Its also the first time in a couple of years ive watched 9 except during the cricket.

  7. this screams that variety TV has to come back…. to the knockers of the show and who bothered to post a negative comment…just go away… your comments aren’t needed… sure there were flat spots…but it’s live and it gives a vehicle for variety light hearted fun…9/10 for me…Rove is more a chat show and he has a fit on telly as well…and as far as the comment about turning over and going to another ad break in two minutes…you are a lunatic…if you know anything about live telly you’d know that sometimes happens…. how about we try and be positive for once..please Nine do something right and bring back this show or one like it….apart from two regular cast members (Red and Molly, who are contracted to seven) i can’t see why it cant come back!!! Rant over…

  8. Can’t believe it’s been so long – you couldn’t tell. Can’t wait for it to be back on air. The Facebook group was gaining hundreds of hits per minute and jumped from 200,000 to over 218,000. Surely that says something! Bring it back – from a very proud Gen Yer.

  9. The ratings will be high tonight for this because of the novelty factor. But the more shows they do the more the ratings will collapse back to their late 90’s level. Became boring after 30 minutes.

  10. First time I have seen more than 10 mins on Nine for….. Actually I don’t know how long… I have recorded it to watch on the weekend, skip the ads and any boring bits. Ony watched bits and pieces so far, saw the pic of Maurie Fields, I thought he was dead!

  11. Nothing changed at all. No wonder it got the boot. We dont need this rubbish. I was going to watch MC or WSP but i recorded them and watched the first hour and just couldnt take it anymore. This seriously was like watching something from back in the day. It was rubbish complete and utter rubbish. I hope the viewers think so too.

It will probably rate its socks off you watch.

  12. Hey, what a great show. Nobody does live TV like the Hey Hey Team. We Loved it. Auz needs a live variety show and the crew on Hey Hey are the best.
My wife Jeannette thinks Dazza is sexy.
    See ya
    Norm.

  13. HHIS isn’t the best show on telly but isn’t it good just to have a bit of a laugh and relive the past glorys of a once proud network. HHIS also demonstrates the need for a some variety television. Reading this forum its wanted. Rove just doesn’t cut it anymore. Other them that what/who is there?

  14. Hey Hey is a relic from last century and should stay their. Most of us who watched the show during the 70’s/80s’/90s were younger and found it amusing because of its stupidity. Looking at the show now it’s easy to see why it’s outdated and irrelevant. People and time have moved on – even if Darryl the dunce hasn’t.
