Hey Hey it’s …..Wednesday?

Hey Hey is officially moving nights to Wednesdays. No longer going head to head with Packed to the Rafters.

darylpluckaHey Hey it’s not Saturday on Tuesday is now Wednesdays!

Yep, the two reunion shows have switched nights.

The shows will now air on Wednesday September 30th and October 7th.

That puts them smack bang against the premieres of Celebrity MasterChef, NCIS: Los Angeles and Hungry Beast (amongst other regular shows).

It also moves the show away from Packed to the Rafters.

“I can’t begin to tell you what a thrill it’s been for me, personally, to work once more with so many of my old friends and colleagues,” said Daryl Somers.

“Putting together these two specials has been an absolute labour of love and an exciting challenge to rebuild the show from the ground up.

“We’ll have everybody’s favourite segments but presented in a fresh, contemporary manner. I can’t wait to get out there and deliver what our legion of fans has told us they want to see.

“Plus, expect to see a few surprises and new ideas that will catapult Hey Hey head-first into the new millennium.”

Nine still insists Molly Meldrum is part of the show, despite a report as late quoting his manager that Nine’s announcement was “premature” due to Foxtel having concerns over his inclusion.

The final line in Nine’s Press Release rather oddly notes, “And of course no Hey Hey reunion would be complete without everyone’s favourite feathered friend, Plucka Duck.”

Sorry bout that Ossie fans….

The television week of September 27th is officially bigger -and more complicated- than Ben Hur.

  4. I can only surmise that 9 were coerced to move Hey Hey away from Tue night by 7 – after all, it was only shortly after Molly was given the green light that it was bumped to Wednesday night – so, instead of being up against 7s biggest gun, it now has the potential to critically damage the premiere and subsequent ep of 10s biggest hope.

Love to wipe the smug smile off the powers-that-be at 7; guess that won’t be happening now….

  5. I don’t think CMC will be anywhere near as good as the original. Celebrity BB bombed big time. Do we really care what c grade celebs can cook? I’m just hanging out for season 2 next year. CMC will just ruin it for me.

  6. Seems desperate. Oh and wasnt Hey Hey “Live” in its day. So why are we getting pre-recorded crap anyway. I will record it if i have room on my recorder since it is already going to be a busy week.
