Idol turns P!nk

Idols will be singing P!nk in two week's time. But that doesn't necessarily mean she's in attendance....

PinkTomorrow night Suzi Quatro may be judge on Australian Idol and a week later Brian McFadden returns as guest judge for a week of Top 10 songs.

Updated: On Oct 4 the Idols are all singing songs by P!nk.

  1. Hi!
I can’t wait for see your idols singing P!nk songs.
@jb1524 She’s got more than 100 songs as a single performer, 2 Grammy Awards, many EMA and VMA awards, 2 Sold-out World Tours(the biggest one was in your country), many fans all over the world etc. These’re the numbers.
If you go to one of her concerts you’ll see that she is professional and awesome.

So I think it’ll great and I hope I can watch it via Internet.

  2. alfagirl, Kate should choose something like “Dear Mr. President” – that has a country tinge to it. Even “Sober” has a country edge.

As for how many songs P!nk has released, it’s up to several dozen (she’s released five albums), so they have plenty to choose from. One thing’s for sure, though – none of the guys will choose “U + Ur Hand”!!! 🙂

  3. I’m not a fan of nights centred around a single artist. I think the themes centred around genres work better so we get to see a bit of variety between the contestants, whereas doing just one artist most of the time ends up to be fairly repetitive.

P!nk is great, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think an entire show of her songs will work well.

  4. I loved big band night ! Especially as it annoyed the heck out of Kyle !!

And tepee if you mean Pink as a person probably plenty but I like her. Her music though is ordinary.

  5. This has the potential to be the Worst Idol show ever.

Maybe this is great from a concept point of view – due to Pink’s popularity. But I really worry about the execution – especially from the boys.

I can’t stand her songs, so I guess it will be Wipeout! for me that night.

  6. Some of you have obviously never been to a Pink concert to not comprehend the level of her popularity in this country! She now has a huge catalogue of songs to select. The girls will fare better on this one for obvious reasons – which will be good to sustain the female contingent, cos as history shows, the girls are first to go. And as the gender split is not 50/50 in the first place (I don’t know why Oz Idol continues to allow that), the girls need all the help they can get.

  7. @jb how can you say it will be the lowest ratings.. Didn’t pink sell out like 50 something concerts here? So I think people do like her and her songs and it will rate well, it will also be interesting to see the guys singing her songs! lol

  8. I like her as a person but geez a whole night of her songs yawn!

I’ve been hoping for another Beatles night but we get Pink instead *sigh*

Even a Suzi Q night would have been good especially as she’s here!

  9. a whole night of Pink? This will be the lowest rating idol show of all time. The guys at Fremantle Media are usually good at what they do but after watching idol this year it is clear that the people in charge are not in touch with what is going on in the music world. Yes, pink is very popular, but for non-fans there will be no reason to watch this show. In fact it will be the ultimate nail in the coffin.
