Million dollar movie question

13 questions were correctly answered on Hot Seat, but it was a movie star biography question that was worth the big $1M dollars.

hsThere were 14 questions correctly answered by tonight’s contestant on Hot Seat, but it was a movie star biography question that faced this obstetrician for the one million dollar question.

“Horowitz is the original surname of which American actor?” asked Eddie McGuire.

Jeff Tarr was teetering between Matt Damon and Winona Ryder, eventually opting for Damon. The answer was Ryder.

After an amazing run of correct answers, it was the one that mattered that proved too tricky.

He wins $1,000 -and no doubt the other contestants are looking for a second invitation to the show, which should be forthcoming.

Amended.

  1. although i enjoy the show for the questions, it’s structure is clearly not fair, in the past people have got two questions right and won $100,000, while this man answered 14 question correctly and only got $1000

  2. This may be a little off-topic, but I was angered by a question in one of last week’s Hot Seat episodes which included a question asking which of four actors played a role in Rescue: Special Ops. Shameless cross-promotion there. Of course, the contestant got the question wrong; and nobody brought up the fact that Hot Seat favoured Nine’s agendas over what should have been a *general knowledge* quiz show.

  3. The last guy to get to the million dollar question was later offered a holiday by Eddie at his house. Is this guy going to get anything, since he got so close to $1M but gets only $1000?

  4. I knew every answer to every question (including the Winona Horowitz one)….! Murphy’s Law, though, that if you’re not on the show, you know all of the answers 😉
