Returning: ER

After a very long time in Nine's waiting room, ER has finally received the defibrilator.

erAfter a very long time in Nine’s waiting room, ER has finally received the defibrilator.

It’s back next month in a late-night slot, 10:30pm Thursdays from October 8th.

The show picks up where it last paused, episode 2 of the 14th season, “In A Different Light.” This episode aired in the US two years ago, October 2007.

There are 19 eps totalling S2, with Sea Patrol‘s David Lyons joning from Ep 14.  A final 22 conclude the series in Season 15.

Moretti makes his presence felt as he implements changes in the way patients are seen. Abby and Dubenko differ on how to proceed when a patient come sin with a bullet in him needed as evidence. Prat complains to Anspaugh about the new Chief and Neela is released from the hospital.

  1. Glad this is Finally back on our screens and miss my weekly fix of ER, but having only watch S13 on Foxtel and being unaware that S14 had started on Ch 9, I think people would’ve forgotten what happened in the first episode, so I don’t see why they can’t start from episode 1 instead of going to 2. I for one won’t be watching. I’ll wait for it to come on Foxtel so I can watch from the start.

  2. Finally! Wonder how long it will remain on our screens though. Nine has butchered this series. Last time it was on it was rating rather well and they yanked it off mid-season. Fingers crossed we get to see all of Season 15, uninterrupted.

  3. Great news – but if only Nine could stick with it. Nothing more frustrating than seeing a couple of eps before they drop it again! Season 14 has had so many stops and starts and timeslot changes. Foxtel should do what they have done with Damages and play Season 15 before FTA – I’m sure it would rate very well.

  4. I’m in shock! Glad to hear. But concerned they won’t stick to it as there are so many episodes left – in which case they should just let go and release the show to 111 Hits who earlier this year showed up to end of S13. Then following that, the DVDs can be released.

Agree should start S14E01 even though that one has been played.

  5. Too late, gonna order dvd from friends in Europe (who have proper tv channels…) I couldn’t bear to watch with ads every few minutes anyway, and besides, they’ll probably take it off after another couple of episodes!

  6. Why couldn’t they start the new season with Episode 1?

Wouldn’t that make more sense? Maybe it would even get some new eyes.

Oh, ER’s on Nine. I forgot. What else would you expect.
