Susan Boyle has American debut

Susan Boyle wowed the finale audience of America's Got Talent singing her new song, a cover of Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses.”

sbSusan Boyle had her American TV debut yesterday on the finale of America’s Got Talent.

Earlier this week she was mobbed at LA Airport by newly-won fans.

The Scottish singer performed a cover of Rolling Stones’ Wild Horses and I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.

Accompanied by a full orchestra and backing singers, Wild Horses drew cheers from the live audience, when she hit her first top notes. For the record the studio version is a better version.

Living up to its title, the show was won by country singer Kevin Skinner, a chicken farmer from Kentucky (he was truly awful!).

  1. I would say that Kevin Skinner is the worst winner of any of these (Country name)’s Got Talent shows I’ve seen, having seen all three series of Australia’s, all three series of Britain’s, and all four series of America’s.

At least the unemployed chicken farmer now gets $25,000 a year for the next forty years as the prize money. Not sure anybody would go to his show in Vegas somehow ….

  2. Susan Boyle’s rendition of ‘Wild Horses* was fine. Nothing new there.

However after reading the *he was truly awful* comment about Kevin Skinner in your review I popped over to You Tube to watch the his number He was so bad I couldn’t listen to the whole song, totally off pitch the whole time, I guess being very nervous wouldn’t have helped.
