13th Street: November highlights

Here's a look at what the new murder mystery channel will be offering from mid-November.

Murdoch_MysteriesWhen 13th Street launches to Pay Television in mid November, viewers will be solving more whodunnits than you can poke a stick, or a magnifying glass, at.

The channel will feature a host of detectives and private eyes, with a mix of subscription channel premieres and a few Aussie premieres. It plans to show series, miniseries and movies.

Here is a selection of some of what’s in store.

SERIES:

MURDOCH MYSTERIES – SERIES 2 (pictured)
Saturday & Sunday at 7.30pm from November 15
AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE
Return of the dynamic series about a young detective, William Murdoch, who solves a series of challenging murders using progressive forensic techniques. In this series he deals with high profile criminals and a blossoming romance with beautiful coroner Dr Julia Ogden. Stars Yannick Bisson and Helene Joy.

DA VINCI’S INQUEST – SERIES 5
Saturday & Sunday at 10.00pm from November 15
SUBSCRIPTION TELEVISION PREMIERE
Da Vinci’s Inquest uses the diagnostic tools of a big-city coroner to explore the deadly riddles of urban life and find the killer. Every death tells a tale, and Coroner Dominic Da Vinci is obsessed with discovering that story. Da Vinci is the first at the scene of a death and the last person to give his verdict on what happened. Stars Nicholas Campbell.

CLOSE TO HOME – SERIES 1
Monday – Friday at 7.30pm from November 16
SUBSCRIPTION TELEVISION PREMIERE
Close to Home tears away the façade of suburbia to reveal that sometimes quiet and tranquil streets can hide the darkest of crimes. Annabeth Chase is a young prosecutor with a perfect conviction record, who tries cases that come out of her own neighbourhood. Stars Jennifer Finnigan and David James Elliott.

MINISERIES:

THE WHISTLEBLOWER
Saturday, November 21 at 4.30pm
SUBSCRIPTION TELEVISION PREMIERE
Laura Tracey is a modern woman, a wife and mother working for a big merchant bank in London. GREEN-EYED MONSTER
