Airdate: The 43rd CMA Awards

The Country Music Channel has announced The 43rd CMA Awards will broadcast Live from Tennessee for the first time in seven years.

2009 CMA AWARDSThe Country Music Channel (CMC) has announced The 43rd CMA Awards, will broadcast Live in Australia for the first time in seven years.

It will beam in direct from The Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee, as it recognises the past year in country music.

Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, The 43rd CMA Awards will feature a star-studded lineup of artists. Performing at the CMA Awards for the first time in four years, Tim McGraw is set to take to the stage. He joins some of the hottest country music artists including, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker and George Strait, all confirmed to perform.

Vying for the most coveted Award ‘Entertainer of the Year’ will be Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift. Swift is the youngest ever nominee – and the first female solo artist in nine years – to be nominated for the Award which is the highest honour of the night.

It airs live Thursday 12 November from 12noon on CMC.
