Bones pulls a sickie

David Boreanaz has flu-like symptoms, which has caused production on the current series of Bones to hit the pause button.

But amid speculation it could be swine flu a spokesman for 20th Century Fox TV, which produces the series, has downplayed the production stoppage.

“David is out with the flu and the show shut down today since he was in every scene,” the spokesman said. “We hope to resume production tomorrow.”

The show’s creator, Hart Hanson, wrote on Twitter: “First time in Bones history we are shut down from production,” Hanson tweeted. “Damn swine flu! That’s gonna cut into Christmas hiatus,”

He later clarified: “There is no indication that Boreanaz has swine flu. We expect him back tomorrow. I’m now going out to get swine flu myself in atonement.”
