No surprises here.
TEN has responded to its thrashing last night by offering repeats of its new shows this week. They will all air tomorrow night.
The line up for Friday October 2nd is now:
7:00pm The 7PM Project
7:30pm Celebrity MasterChef
8:30pm NCIS: Los Angeles
9:30pm NCIS
10:30pm Go Girls
Don’t forget Seven also has a replay of FlashForward at 11pm.
The week from hell is also a week of replays!

This works for me. I wouldn’t mind watching Celebrity MasterChef again and I missed out on NCIS. I think it’s better then the Jessica Simpson movie Ch10 was going to put on.
Smart move.. definitely watching the NCIS repeat even though I have the episode on my iPod and taped on my planner. I reccommend it to everyone, its awesome TV!
It’s a stupid move by Ch10, They are gonna try and go head2head with repeats of FlashForward (Ch7)..
..and the FTA wonders why were going over to PAY-TV?
guess all that advertising for employee of the month all week is wasted.
As many have said, smart move by ten – although not unexpected. All channels are showing a repeat of one show or another this week to help boost / maintain next week. And Masterchef rated quite well on Fridays so it’s the ideal spot for the repeat screening.
Repeats? I won’t be watching TEN this friday night then.
It’s good that they are repeating but they don’t need anymore viewers. After Hey Hey’s two reunion shows (but it won’t be the end of them), I have no doubt that NCIS: LA will be able to sustain 1.2m at least and Celebrity Masterchef will be able to sustain at least 1.6m.
Nevertheless, you never know how much it could help. In these modern times, it’s better than playing a movie.
@CrAig and others- ditto re claims about MC being “thrashed”. Do I see some Melbourne bias here.
Oh and I think “thrashing” is apt for NCIS as it got under 1m IIRC compared to 2.2m for HHIS.
Still it beat MC by 800 thousand so that’s a fair beating in any language.
Good news as I missed NCIS LA so will be watching that.
Agree with a previous comment – the term ‘thrashed’ is a wee bit OTT
Smart move by Ten, they’ll probably do it two weeks running
Next week’s Hey Hey stunt is the return of the ostrich
Lets hope Kirk Pengilly makes it through on Friday night !
Very good move, should do well for ten, might sneak them into second spot. We all Know MC is popular on Fridays. I think ten should consider the following lineup on Friday night.
7:30 The Spearman Experiement
8:30 NCIS (R) at
9:30 Numb3rs
10.30 and Law and Order: UK
Dramas did well for them when they had no sport comp on friday earlier this year with no sport competion, could even see them win friday nights. Spearman has got to go from Tuesdays, and it could find its feet on Friday.
@ Sillyghostly – NCIS is not a repeat of a repeat. It’s an encore of the Series 7 return from Tuesday night.
Very smart move IMO.
And David, use of the word ‘thrashing’ is a bit harsh when CMC peaked at 1.9m and averaged nearly 1.4m…
The fact it pulled 1.4m against stunt programming is pretty good… once again IMO
@Sillygostly: its quite simply really….NCIS is a repeat of the new NCIS that played on Tuesday night, not the Wednesday repeat that aired after the new NCIS LA, nor the Tuesday night repeat that aired after the new Tuesday NCIS episode…..does this feel a little Law&Order / Simpson-esk to anyone else?
I meant its the premier episode of NCIS from tuesday not the repeat at 9:30.
Swanny that repeat is actual of the one on tuesday night not wednesday night!
Very smart move.
NCIS too? A repeat of a repeat? Fawking hell…
@BM-dog: It’s three hours, not two 😉 Celeb MC, NCIS: LA and NCIS (rpt) all aired on Wednesday night.
Did you know BM-Dog on weekends in the states networks show their main hot hits as encores on weekends and it seems to work effectively. Its the smartest thing ten have done for a while IMO. And I thought this is what they should do if it had failed last night!
kool, i will watch cm again! and i missed l.a so it will be good to see that!
thanks ten
I think it’ll be more successful than their normal lineup 😛 And get good viewers; hell if I’m home I may even watch myself and I don’t watch NCIS :p
In the US repeats are usually shown on a Saturday night of previous weeks programming; I’d like the same thing done here incase I ever miss and forget to record.
Ten’s literally repeating a two-hour block of primetime programming in the same timeslot two days later? That seems… unusual.
Very smart move by TEN – audiences will flock to this over the lame movie choices on offer by the other two networks.
