‘Classic’ Top Gear resumes

SBS returns episodes from 2003, but they are still first-run in Australia for truly die-hard fans.

clarksonSBS returns ‘Classic Top Gear‘ to screens from next week, with episodes from 2003.

It takes up the slot since the current series ended last night, with first-run episodes for Australia.

Next Monday it airs S3E8 in which Jeremy Clarkson compares the current (2003) Mercedes SL with the classic and “elegant” Mercedes SL from 1972. Richard looks at what £9,000 gets you – a brand new Nissan Micra or the ultimate private jet, the Boeing BBJ2 737…for an hour.

The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is English Actor and Comedian, Johnny Vegas.

On October 26th a skint James May plays the piano, Richard wears a hideous shirt and Jeremy auctions off part of the set.

The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Carol Vordeman.

  1. They must have had a programing change as this is not ep 3.08, it’s a mixture of test drives from different shows, I checked wikipedia. Hope they get back to the ‘classic’ eps next week.

    1. Yes SBS sent this thru on Friday:

Please be advised that episode 10 of Top Gear UK Series 3 will now air on Monday 19 October at 7.20pm on SBS ONE. Episodes eight and nine have been rescheduled to later in the year.

  2. @Chris – this weeks was the last new TG from the last season that aired in the UK a few months back so we are now up-to-date. Season 14 starts Nov 15 in the UK, so early 2010 SBS will likely show it.
