Hayley Lewis to host The Biggest Loser

It's official. Former Olympian Hayley Lewis is announced as the new host of The Biggest Loser.

hlewisHayley Lewis will host The Biggest Loser in 2010.

The former Olympian spoke to TEN News tonight, taking time to reflect on her own weight issues.

“I guess because I was on TV in a pair of togs, where you pretty much can’t cover up if you put on weight…. there were things written about me and about my weight… it’s just hard as a teenager,” she told TEN News.

A decade ago she became a spokesperson for Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centres.

“I was embarrassed about how I looked,” she said.

Lewis replaces former host Ajay Rochester who fronted the reality series on TEN for four seasons.

She will be chatting later tonight to The 7PM Project.

TV Tonight tipped Lewis as the future host as far back as August.

  2. I will definitely give Hayley a go before I trash her, but her voice is very nasal. When she was interviewed on 7pm Project it really annoyed me. But she is a lovely person and I am sure she will be great.

By the way folks, Hayley was a champion swimmer, how quickly we all forget…….

  3. @John. Absolutely agree with you. I believe Haley Lewis will do a great job and I’m guessing anyone who hasn’t heard of her must be under 30 or recent immigrant.
Give her a go and don’t be so picky folks !!!

  4. Symantha perkins? Why would you want her hosting the show? – Good Luck Hayley……just let the producers know that you won’t say – “it’s now time to cut the fat” – sooooooo cheesy!!
