Jessica Mauboy sweeps 2009 Deadly Awards

At the 2009 Deadly Awards, former Australian Idol singer Jessica Mauboy won four awards including Single Release of the Year, Album Release of the Year, Female Artist of the Year. She also won APRA Song of the Year. She is also nominated for the upcoming ARIA Awards.
Warwick Thornton won Outstanding Achievement in Film for Samson & Delilah, which airs soon on ABC.
ABC’s Message Stick won Outstanding Achievement in TV. Congrats also to Luke Carroll, who also hosted, and Leah Purcell for taking out the acting categories.
The Deadly Awards, which recognises indigenous achievers, will screen air Sunday, 18 October at 10.30pm on SBS ONE and again on Monday, 19 October at 8.30pm on SBS TWO.

Oh bull crap! She has sung the same bloody song for 2 years straight!… Get over it! She’s an idol nobody!
Just too bad her record company are airbrushing her into oblivion and stripping her of her heritage on her cd covers and promotional pictures.
