Megan Mullally is planning to resurrect Will and Grace‘s inimitable character, Karen Walker, in a stage show –Karen: The Musical (or is that Keerin The Musical?).
“The main thing is Karen is such a great character, and people really want to see her again,” Mullally told the LA Times.
Her television nemesis Leslie ‘Beverley Leslie’ Jordan is set to join her for the show, which she envisions will open in Los Angeles before heading to New York.
“Even jaded people in our business are giggling,” she continues. “Also, nobody has taken their sitcom character and done a big Broadway musical.”
She’s even beaten ‘Just Jack’ to the punch.
Mullally will next appear in the new series of Party Down.

Please bring it to oz! Pleeeeeeeeeeeease!
Hope this show comes to australia but l doubt it will,Megan played the character of Karen so well.Heard rumours last year in us media that they were thinking of a sitcom with the characters of Karen and Jack, that were of been so funny if it happened.
Well this has to find its way here!
Beverley Leslie was killed in the final episode when he blew off the balcony of his apartment. The last three seasons made no sense anyway, so hey so what.
Karen was so annoying though, what’s next Fran Fine the musical 🙂 She was way OTT for me although she could be funny at times.
Sounds like good fun. The bride of Frankenstein meets Frankenfurter with a good dose of Aunty Mame !
Has any Australian network picked up Party Down yet? Might be good late nights for Ten to capitalise on Jane Lynch’s newfound mainstream popularity.
I’m unsure whether I will watch Season 2 of party down season 1 took so long to get off its feet and make you feel for the characters and by the end of episode 10 I still hadn’t got a feel for it; not sure how much longer I should stick around for it; and it wasn’t laugh out loud funny rather little giggles spread throughout the series.
