Seinfeld reunion Part 2?

Nine is at it again.

CurbNine is at it again.

This just in…

The Seinfeld Reunion Pt. 2 (Curb Your Enthusiasm)” airs 9pm next Tuesday October 27th.

Having aired Episode 3 of Series 7, now it is skipping straight to Episode 6 a week later.

I can’t be bothered saying anything nice, so my mother taught me not to say anything at all….

  1. aussie tv is bad enough, with 4 or 5 ad breaks in half hour shows and then for chanel 9 to pull a stunt like this! i’m sick that i’ve been conned into thinking last weeks episode was the first of the new Curb series. i had turned a blind eye to the fact that they were shamelessly advertising it as ‘the seinfeld reunion’ cause i was so over the moon that it was finally being aired here.. but to start with episode 3 and then skip to 6 is just ludicrous. only in australia would this happen

  2. Can anyone tell me if they are airing the episodes in their entirety?

‘Cos the actual episodes are about 29 minutes long usually, and thats with no commercials.

So what i’m wondering, is how is the next program going to start at 9:30pm? they must be cutting out like 7-8 minutes of it to fit in commercials…

  3. Channel 9 have stooped to a new low, ACA saying their was a ‘Seinfeld Reunion’ show coming to channel 9?
Now people who dont follow Curb are labelling the show a bunch of garbage.
Channel 9 are cashing in majorly on this ‘Reunion’ B.S , and everyone who was a fan is falling for it. Im a fan of both and I find it annoying how everyone is tellin me how crap the new ‘Seinfeld’ episode was! Yep, people have no idea do they.
Good luck to channel 9, why dont they just put on repeats of the ‘Footy show’ while they are at it

  4. I don’t understand. This will the best ratings nine can squeeze from this show, but all those extra viewers will just be left thinking the network and it’s brand are either desperate and conniving or stupid.

This is like luring a kid with promised chocolate and then throwing coco in their face instead. Coco’s good, but not out of context and not when you were promised chocolate and not when it’s thrown in your face.

Who’s going to trust you when you promise chocolate again Nine? Not the million extra viewers you just tricked.

The only winners are the people who’d never seen Curb, liked the seinfeld eps and then went and downloaded the rest of the show online.

  5. The Nine of Old from the Kerry Packer Days is Dead.

Almost 2010 and no signof a new game show of any sort for the 7pm weeknight timeslot after ACA is a disgrace.
I used to remember as a kid before starting High School 7pm was Sale of the Century Time in our home shows like that make a person smarter not dumbasses like Charlie and Alan Harper 2,5 men.

  6. Why don’t they just air the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm? It’s beyond me why the hell Australian TV channels are constantly showing crap programs instead of quality programs. And this “Seinfeld Reunion” is the biggest croc of s**t. Why would you deprive the public of this? Why????

  7. I dont mind them leaving out the other episodes. i’m a big curb fan.

the only thing i think, is just that they should wait till they have all aired, then air them on consecutive weeks. even if it was just the seinfeld episodes.

  8. i thought they could have a made a reference to Michael Richards stand up bungle – maybe as a reason why the ‘seinfeld reunion’ finally gets canned. Or maybe Larry David could be seen giving Michael tips on how to treat a heckler. Now thats Gold Jerry!

  9. Well said David. This is an episode of a program called Curb your Enthusiasm, yet it’s being promoted as Seinfeld in big letters, and CYE (the actual name of the program) in small print.

  10. @jay jay That’s true, it is a niche show. But to show select episodes, out-of-context, has been a rip-off for all viewers. The fans of Curb who have now been dropped into a series mid-way through, and the fans of Seinfeld who thought they were getting an actual reunion show but weren’t.

  11. its a low-rating series, has an extrememly niche audience in Australia and season 7 will end up being shown in full on either GO! or The Comedy Channel eventually. If you’re that in love with the show, just feel the need to complain.
