robert_pattinsonHeads up Twilight fans. Charles Wooley talks to Robert Pattinson this Sunday night on 60 Minutes. And Katie Couric talks to Andre Agassi.

Interview with a Vampire
“From ghosties and goblins and things that go bump in the night, oh Lord protect us!” So goes the old prayer. But who’s going to protect us from the latest worldwide outbreak of vampires? They’re everywhere and most inescapably in the “Twilight” movies, based on Stephanie Meyer’s phenomenally successful novels. At last count, she’s sold 85 million copies worldwide. The latest movie, “New Moon”, is expected to be a blockbuster catapulting its young English star, Robert Pattinson, to an unbelievable level of fame. And, as Charles Wooley found this week, no one is more surprised and bemused than the young vampire himself.

True Beauty
She was stunning and vivacious – a beautiful young woman with a promising career in the spotlight. At 25, Katie Piper truly had it all and even thought she might have found love. However, she soon discovered her new romance was a dangerous, controlling man. Her life changed forever when she tried to leave him. First, her jilted boyfriend violently raped her. Then he devised the most appalling revenge of all – an acid attack that would destroy Katie’s face and her future. Katie will never again look like she once did, but after 32 operations and months of painful rehabilitation, this remarkable woman has a new face and a new insight into what it really means to be beautiful.

Coming Clean
What was he thinking? Until a few weeks ago, Andre Agassi was a sporting legend and one of the most respected tennis players ever. Then a bombshell with a stunningly candid autobiography in which Agassi openly admits to taking the drug ice. What’s more, when caught out, he lied to authorities about his drug use and got away with it. But perhaps most stunning of all is Agassi’s revelation that he hated tennis. It’s startling stuff coming from one of the greats of the game, whose personal style and relentless drive changed tennis. Katie Couric caught up with Agassi at a place he doesn’t visit very often any more – a tennis court.

  1. @brisvegas you’ve got a good point there. They advertised New Moon during every commercial break for The Vampire Diaries lat Monday. Just thinking about it. Hoyts is heavily involved with promoting New Moon, Hoyts is in partnership or whatever with NineMSN .. hmmmmmmm … I’m sensing a pattern.

  2. ok – seriously, how much can C9 pump/force-feed us more about new moon?

I cant watch today in the mornings without richard wilkins fawning about it every 10 minutes. It reminds me a lot of how they force-fed us stuff on “Australia”, and look how that turned out. And dont get me started on Andre rieu……. 🙂

  3. just checked the Ellen website and can’t see any information on R Patz being on her show next week – Dakota Fanning is on and she’s talking about Twiight – the show we get in Australia on Monday is the US Friday show which features Ryan Seacrest – there is no mention of Rob being on (and the Ellen website has guest details up until Tuesday US Show (which airs wednesday here ) – unless channel 9 decide to show something else like they did this week with the golf!!!

  4. Interesting to see if this is a new interview.

Also Rob’s going to be on Ellen (to air in Australia) Monday 23 November. I know I’m living in hope, but it would be nice if Channel 9 could replay the episode say at 7:30pm. Ala like Channel 10 do with some Oprah specials.

  5. some people have been wondering when the oprah interview with stephanie meyer will air in australia, apparently it will happen today in america. do you know david?
