Seinfeld's Jason Alexander fronted a Press Conference today ahead of the Edelsten wedding and said it was the first time he had met the couple.

Jason Alexander fronted a Press Conference today ahead of the lavish wedding to be held for Dr. Geoffrey Edelsten and Brynne Gordon.
The Seinfeld star had narrated a peculiar DVD invitation in which the bride and groom re-enacted key moments from their life in a bizarre replay directed by Pretty Woman and Happy Days director Garry Marshall. It was recently aired almost in its entirety on Today Tonight.
Now Alexander is here as Master of Ceremonies for the wedding but told press today he had only met the two for the first time today.
But his friendship with the once-imprisoned doctor and his bride-to-be was, he assured the press, “profound.”
Alexander added he was offering his services for free.
Fran Drescher, who also appeared on the DVD wedding invitation, will join Alexander on stage, but Edelsten would not say if she was being paid. The former Nanny star has already been pushed by agents for extra gigs while she is here.
Today Tonight will no doubt have more on this circus with reporter Clare Brady one of the guests.
Meanwhile even Chelsea Handler got a whiff of the event, with this scene set to appear in tonight’s Chelsea, Lately episode on E!

Jason Alexander…come on? Why? You made a million dollars a episode from Seinfield? I’m kinda disappointed in him. I always thought he was a serious actor.
He’s doing it for free? Yeah right! Does he think we are all idiots here? I love George, but I’d have more respect for Jason if he just told us straight out that it’s a job and he’s being paid.
