Catch up plot for 7TWO shows

If you don't have 7TWO you can still keep up with Ugly Betty and Heroes online.

ugbViewers who don’t have digital television but want to catch episodes of Ugly Betty and Heroes (that’s all you guys in Prime land), a heads up that Seven is now streaming the episodes at yahoo7.com.au/tv.

Episodes of Home and Away, City Homicide and Packed to the Rafters, are also on offer while Better Homes and Gardens, Beauty and The Geek and Highway Patrol stream from the moment they go to air for the seven days following.

FlashForward and Castle are also available.

Meanwhile 7TWO will be added to Foxtel cable from November 24th and will now be added to Foxtel Satellite in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from the same date.

Prime is yet to reveal its plans so the online catch-up will be a good way to stay on track with some shows given that regional networks are likely to pick up some shows mid-series.

The Seven site streams more than one million full episodes of titles each month.

  1. a few weeks ago, you had programme called “Mega construction — Beijing Olympic stadium (bird nest) “. How would you suggest I can get a hold a copy of it? thanks you. Jane Stevenson

  2. Prime treat country viewers like second class citizens. As usual I’ll have to pay for DVD’s of tv shows I follow like Lost and Heroes. You should be ashamed of yourselves Prime!

  3. We had a black out last Thursday for 4 hours. Missed the premiere episode of Stargate Atlantas (and the next episode 2). That sucks. Now I find out you don’t do catchup for startgate yet. Are you going too???.
Also I only have a 128 Kb internet link so it probably wouldn’t work anyway. Can you rerun missed episodes in your middle of the night “filler Programmes” on SevenTWO . . . . . .Please.. From what I saw the transmitter tower at Toowoomba was in black out also. So you could have re run them later.

  4. i watched that 70s show the other day and it was advertised as starting at 7:00, then the epg said 7:05 and then it still didn’t start till about 7:10 and today when i turned on 7two at 6:55 it had already started, do they really think people are going to watch everyday from 6:55 till 7:10 to see when it starts. it’s not like its just a few minute this is a 15 minute window, is it like this with the rest of line up, this has to be the worst channel for starting shows on time.

  5. Catch up TV on yahoo7 is shocking quality but better than nothing. City Homicide was the full episode, ad free except for one before the episode played. Missed it on Wed due to IQ2 having a “moment” while watching Heroes on 7TWO live (maybe the IQ2 got jealous it was not being used!). 7TWO coming to Foxtel satellite is good news. Won’t have to switch between old digital receiver and IQ2 then. Hope GO will do the same. Will end up watching more of 7TWO then.

  6. “and will now be added to Foxtel Satellite in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from the same date.” Thanks for this info David. This is fantastic news. Now all we need is GO!, One SD and all the FTA HD channels for the iQ2.

  7. Prime covers areas like Newcastle, Canberra, Wollongong, the NSW Central Coast, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. They are not all small country towns with bad internet connections. It is better than nothing until Prime sorts out this mess.

  8. While i like the idea of the ‘catch-up’ tv model where you can watch shows online within a week or 2 of airing on telly, someone at Seven seems to have forgotten that they have a lot more than 10 shows on two separate channels.

Even if it is licensing issues, surely they can be doing it for all the Aussie programming they have? Most of the ‘catch-up’ for Aussie programming is just ‘highlights’ of each episode. WTF? Heck, of the commercial networks, TEN seems to be the most switched on with this stuff. It’s no iView (ABC), but its better than what Nine and Seven offer.

Seven’s ‘catch-up’ model is also severely clunky and extremely annoying. Unlike ABC’s iView (which does ‘catch-up’ far better than any other broadcaster in Aus), for Seven’s shows, you then have to access the particular show you are looking for from a list that doesn’t even have all of Seven’s shows. Once yeu have found a show that has its own dedicated page, you can then find out whether or not you can watch previous episodes via an annoying slide-show.

I was hoping I’d be able to use this method to watch 7TWO content until Prime get off their bums and launch the channel in regional areas, but it looks like Seven has also failed in that area.

Being tied to Yahoo! sure has its setbacks, and isn’t it showing now.

  9. I feel so much better now that I can stream shows from their website and pay for it (broadband is not free) instead of watching it for free on the telly. Thanks again..Prime!!

  10. I’d say, the pressure’s on for One and GO! to sign satellite retransmission deals. Seven’s agreement with Foxtel, must have been flexible.

Think about it, Satellite viewers have been waiting two years for the main 7 channel since the deal was signed, not offering Seven Two, would have been a understatement, as 7Twol is promoted heavily on the main channel.

  11. Okay only problem is many of the Prime areas are regional thus have crappy or expensive Internet, are you going to use half your monthly limit to watch one ep of Heroes?

    Not a real solution IMO!
