Maggie T announces final series

Maggie Tabberer is winding up her interview series after eight seasons with Foxtel.

BIO_MAGGIE_TELEVISIONLegendary Maggie Tabberer is winding up her Foxtel series Maggie With … after eight seasons next January.

Since airing on the Pay TV network in 2001 with Maggie … At Home With, the former publisher has interviewed countless Australians including John Olsen, Susan Renouf, Iva Davies, Ian Thorpe, Hawke and Blanch D’Alpuget, Alan Jones and Siimon Reynolds.

Foxtel’s Brian Walsh said “Maggie Tabberer is an absolute phenomenon in the Australian television industry.

“The astounding line up of guests that have welcomed Maggie and her interview style series into their hearts and homes over the past eight years is a true testament to her popularity and reverence and it has been such a delight for all of us at Foxtel to work with her on delivering the series to subscription television viewers.

“I can see that perhaps after 45 years on Australian television Maggie might be thinking she is ready to enjoy a well-deserved break, but we have left the door open for future projects and I’m optimistic we will continue to do more work together,” he said.

In her final series she chats with influential women in contemporary Australia including Maxine McKew, Anne Deveson, Layne Beachley, Claudia Karvan, Dawn Fraser, Alisa Camplin, Bronwyn Bishop, Christine Milne, Susan Mitchell, Anne Deveson, Noni Hazlehurst, and Alison Whyte.

Her last series begins January 3, Sundays at 7.30pm on Bio.
