Channel Seven has unveiled some of its summer programming, but kept its surprises under wraps.
It will premiere new US comedy Parks and Recreation, the mockumentary that replaced Kath & Kim (US). Written by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur it features Amy Poehler as the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana.
There are new episodes of Band of Brothers, Gary Unmarried, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
In repeat are How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Better Homes and Gardens.
It will air a new episode of FlashForward on November 30th.
Ernie Dingo will host new lifestyle series No Leave, No Life in which hard-working Aussies are whisked off on a holiday (where do we sign up?). It is followed by the factual series Borderline.
Seven is likely to fill in its remaining titles next week. At least one of these will be Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh.

I caught a couple of eps of Parks and Recreation whilst in the US for a few weeks, and for me personally I was very disappointed. it rips off the Office in almost every respect (which may not be a bad thing if pulled off ok) but the whole thing just feels a bit awkward. I’m crossin gmy fingers it improves. Great to see 30 Rock as the lead in though.
Gee – what an incredible vote of confidence in Parks and Rec! 11pm
Deal’s a dead duck in Queensland. I’m expecting summer will hurt Deal’s ratings, especially if Hot Seat intends to run new eps.
David, what do you know about ‘Bones’ over summer?
Nothing yet…
Hey Andy,
You appear to imply that it’s unusual for a show to be funded.
Way to make an outlandish statement dude.
I hope Ch. 7 will show season 3 of the UK crime show Lewis sometime.
It’s been MIA this year – or perhaps they’re waiting for Season 4 to start so they can show series 3 & 4 back to back like they did with Series 1 & 2?
