So long, Earl.

After four seasons, Jason Lee finally departs our screen in the last-ever episode of his comedy.

my-name-earlEarl J. Hickey departs our screens tonight along with Randy, Joy and the trailer park gang of My Name is Earl.

It’s been four seasons of the Greg Garcia-created comedy, starring Jason Lee.

In his search to rectify karma he has encountered numerous guest stars including Jane Seymour, Burt Reynolds, Rosanne Barr, Christian Slater, Jason Priestley, Erik Estrada, Danny Glover, Betty White, Paris Hilton and John Waters.

After the series was cancelled by NBC there was talk of continuing it on other networks but it never eventuated, leaving the closing “To Be Continued” title forever to be left dangling…

So long, Earl, you were always a bit of redneck fun.

In the final episode of My Name Is Earl, Dodge tells Joy that he wants Earl to speak at Career Day, Earl realises that it’s time Dodge found out who his father really is. Despite Joy’s protests, Earl and Randy attempt to hunt down the deadbeat dad, but what they discover is worse than they could have imagined.

The last episode airs at 10:30pm tonight on Seven.

  1. It’s a great shame to see this one go. The storyline was
inventive & largely self-perpetuating. Some eps were weaker
than others, but overall it was a good TV friend.

At least one raised eyebrow… 🙂

  2. So both My Name is Earl and Las Vegas are left with the “To be Continued” card

I remember when this show along with How I met Your Mother were high rated shows… how times have changed in only a few years
