Jennifer Hawkins will renew her contract with the Seven Network, according to her management, even though there is no specific project in the pipeline. She is believed to have taken a cut in her salary, rumoured to be between $700,000 to $1 million.
“The network wanted to re-sign her and she wants to keep the association with the network,” Sean Anderson told news.com.au yesterday.
“A specific role has not yet been locked down, but we are looking to get the right project for her to return to air more regularly and we’ll have ongoing discussions about that.”
Hawkins has so far been the host of Make Me a Supermodel and a regular reporter on The Great Outdoors, but both are no longer in production.
She has been with Seven since 2004 following her Miss Universe win. Other networks are believed to have extended offers.
Maybe Seven could put her with a project with Stephanie Rice on a new show, given she was another to have landed a big deal for very little on air time? Nice work if you can get it!

What a waste of money. I can’t see them paying some of their stars that actually DO work that much.
With her experience as a rugby league cheer leader, maybe Seven could use her as an AFL cheer leader.
Wow i really thought she was going to move elsewhere. Oh well its a great keep for the network now just to find her something to do.
Except I dont know what Seven could front her on. My best guess at this stage is a factual show. Seven have enough of them and more to come apparently.
Getting paid $700,000 to $1,000,000 for doing nothing is a great gig – good on her!
She is a smart and shrewd cookie.
Talk about Wall St business men getting ridiculous salaries- She’s getting paid close to a million for looking pretty.
Jesus, why can’t I be a hot supermodel? 700,000 for what?
Big waste of money Seven. She sure is nice to look at though.
I thoroughly enjoyed Make Me A Supermodel, I know it wasn’t doing big numbers but it was actually a good show. Bring it back but try it on a different night maybe and see how it does.
well, seven would rather she be warehoused with them rather than ending up on a top rating show on nine or seven, rather strategic move but it makes good business sense
It’s a colossal waste of money if you ask me – she’s not doing anything – get rid of her.
Hope she screwed them for more money!!! 😉
