Hawko sticks with Seven

Despite no specific on air project, Jennifer Hawkins will remain with the Seven Network.

jhJennifer Hawkins will renew her contract with the Seven Network, according to her management, even though there is no specific project in the pipeline. She is believed to have taken a cut in her salary, rumoured to be between $700,000 to $1 million.

“The network wanted to re-sign her and she wants to keep the association with the network,” Sean Anderson told news.com.au yesterday.

“A specific role has not yet been locked down, but we are looking to get the right project for her to return to air more regularly and we’ll have ongoing discussions about that.”

Hawkins has so far been the host of Make Me a Supermodel and a regular reporter on The Great Outdoors, but both are no longer in production.

She has been with Seven since 2004 following her Miss Universe win. Other networks are believed to have extended offers.

Maybe Seven could put her with a project with Stephanie Rice on a new show, given she was another to have landed a big deal for very little on air time? Nice work if you can get it!

  1. Wow i really thought she was going to move elsewhere. Oh well its a great keep for the network now just to find her something to do.

Except I dont know what Seven could front her on. My best guess at this stage is a factual show. Seven have enough of them and more to come apparently.

  2. She is a smart and shrewd cookie.
Talk about Wall St business men getting ridiculous salaries- She’s getting paid close to a million for looking pretty.

  3. I thoroughly enjoyed Make Me A Supermodel, I know it wasn’t doing big numbers but it was actually a good show. Bring it back but try it on a different night maybe and see how it does.

  4. well, seven would rather she be warehoused with them rather than ending up on a top rating show on nine or seven, rather strategic move but it makes good business sense
