Movie Network Channels has commissioned a second series of comedy series The Jesters.
Mick Molloy will return with Ben Geurens, Christian Barratt-Hill, Travis Cotton and Andrew Ryan with writers and creators Angus FitzSimons and Kevin Brumpton resuming their creative roles in a behind the scenes look at sketch comedy television.
No word on Susie Porter or Deborah Kennedy in the announcement from Movie Networks yet.
Publicity notes indicate: At the end of Season 1 we were left wondering what the future has to hold for The Jesters. Disillusioned with their experience as TV stars, Michael wants The Jesters to return to their roots and produce a satirical newspaper. Steve is offered a solo show by another network and Dave accepts an offer to host his own chat show after filming a successful pilot. Zak and Tony also find themselves being pulled in a different direction as they are forced to put on a real musical stage show to avoid prosecution for false advertising. Could it all add up to being the final nail in The Jesters’ coffin?

Tony H. how dare you! I loathe 2.5 Men, slightly less than the Jesters.
That’s a huge surprise this show rated very ordinary.Very poor program.Your extremely lucky Mick Molloy
Agree with Roger. Found this show lame. And Mick Molloy chews the scenery.
Roger must be a fan of 2.5 Men! Says it all really.
how did this get a second dig?
Really great news. Hopefully Porter & Kennedy will be back, especially Kennedy as she did a great job as Di.
Hooray! Probably my favourite new local show this year. When will commercial networks invest some cash in decent comedy? They know it rates if they do it properly.
Excellent news. This show has legs.
