Another shake up from ABC’s programming department will see Collectors taking over The Einstein Factor’ old timeslot, with a new member Sydney-based fashion designer Claudia Chan Shaw.
She replaces Niccole Warren who has left to focus on being a full time mum. Chan Shaw appeared on the show mid-2008 with her collection of robots and tin toys, one of her passions along with Warner Bros animation cells (The Bugs Bunny Show), fossils and Australian photography.
She has worked in Sydney and overseas as a fashion designer, retailer, wholesaler and exporter, is a graduate from the Sydney College of the Arts and curated a number of significant art and fashion exhibitions.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Collectors team. ” she said. “This marvellous program is a celebration of the individual, and as a person bitten by the collecting bug from an early age, I can identify with the passion and energy of the fabulous team and the guests. It’s going to be a sensational ride!”
ABC’s Head of Factual, Jennifer Collins said, “I’m delighted that Claudia Chan Shaw is joining the Collectors team in our new Sunday evening slot. She brings to the program a wonderful sense of design mixed with a playful passion for collecting. It’s a joy to have her on board.”
The series returns to 6:30pm Sundays in February.

Why change the slot!!
Stupid idea and I guess they want to kill it after this season doing something like that. Many people watch it as it currently is.
Nicole was pretty cute and looking at her made watching the show alot easier. This new women is, er, not cute. I’ll switch off.
Bucking the trend here but… Great timeslot! Maybe they can repeat it the followin Friday at 8PM for you guys..?
Gotta agree with everyone it was perfectly suited to 8pm fridays where everyone is used to seeing it. I’ll probably tape and watch them back fridays. Along with The Einstein Factor being axed yet another stupid decision by the ABC.
And I’ll miss Nicole as well. The team has a great chemistry ,but if she wanted to leave can’t do much about that.
That timeslot eventually killed The Einstein Factor. Don’t do it ABC!
Hate the timeslot . Why change? it was still rating well on Fridays 9, around 750,000 a week..
Very bad time slot, probably the only thing that would help it is the G-rated version of “At The Movies” ahead of it– I only hope the repeat on ABC2 has a time slot change as well….8pm Fridays perhaps?
Agree with Reubot – poor time slot. It was working in the timeslot it had – why ruin that.
Secondly – will miss Nicole. She was Definitely my favourite 🙂
Bad timeslot…
