Returning: Chandon Pictures

ABC picks up Movie Extra's misadventures of a fledgling video production company a second time.

cpABC picks up Movie Extra’s Chandon Pictures a second time round, offering the show as comedy fare over summer.

Created and directed by Tropfest winners, Rob Carlton and Alex Weinress, the series returnes to follow the misadventures of Tom Chandon (Rob Carlton) and his fledgling video production company.

This season’s guests include Don Hany, Lynette Curran, Roy Billing, Marshall Napier and Doug Scroope.

In the Season Two, Tom returns somewhat defeated from a brief stint in Hollywood. His brother Carmichael has taken a job in Singapore and Chandon Pictures have opened up new headquarters. Tom’s cousin Larraby (Charlie Garber) moves in, taking over the role of business manager. At first Tom, the once overzealous filmmaker and driving force behind the team, seems to have lost his special touch. But with some coaxing from his enthusiastic crew, he might just get back in touch with his role as a great observer of the human condition.

Returning to the team this season is loyal cameraman Nick (Darren Gileshenan) and pragmatic ‘Executive Producer’ Lucy (Rebecca Massey) who are joined by Larraby (Charlie Garber).

It airs 9:35pm Wednesday December 16 on ABC1.

  1. That Myles Barlow and the Chandon Pictures crew are two breaths of fresh cerebral air. There has been so many misses with Australian comedy in recent years, but these two gems definitely hit the little red circle. I hope the ABC continues with these shows and that the shows reciprocate and don’t shift and sell to the creative starved commercials. Keep up the good work Aunty, and excellent work to all those involved in these two outstanding productions. Well done!!!

  2. Both “Review with Myles Barlow” and “Chandon Pictures” are not funny.
I am amazed they get aired!

Bring on SBS’s Swift and Shift Couriers!
