52nd Grammy Awards: Guide

The 52nd Grammy Awards air live to Australia via Arena with a 3D tribute to Michael Jackson plus a special fund-raising piece for Haitian relief.

The 52nd Grammy Awards will screen live to Australia on Monday at 12 midday AEDT on Arena and repeated at 8:30pm.

The awards hosted by Tia Carrere and Kurt Elling will be held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Performers include Beyoncé, the Black Eyed Peas, Elton John, Bon Jovi, the Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Pink, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood, Eminem and Lil Wayne.

Presenters include Simon Baker, Kristen Bell, Justin Bieber, Jeff Bridges, Jonas Brothers, Stephen Colbert, Alice Cooper, Sheryl Crow, Kaley Cuoco, Miley Cyrus, Plácido Domingo, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Duhamel, Wyclef Jean, Norah Jones, Juanes, Ke$ha, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, LL Cool J, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Lea Michele, Chris O’Donnell, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, Ryan Seacrest, Seal, Ringo Starr, Britney Spears, Quentin Tarantino and Keith Urban.

Roberta Flack and Usher will present a special 3D tribute to Michael Jackson, that was designed for his This is It Tour of his song Earth Song. Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood and Usher will perform alongside this minimovie. This piece will be seen for the first time ever at the Grammy telecast.

Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli will perform in a special fund-raising piece for Haitian relief.

Red Carpet coverage will air live on E! from 9am. Ryan Seacrest’s platform will be the first live stop on the carpet.

9am E! Live From the Red Carpet: Grammy Awards: Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic, along with Jay Manuel and the Glam Cam 360. American Idol‘s General Larry Platt is tipped to appear with “Pants on the Ground.”

  1. Why show this on Arena. At least show it on FOX8 so we can view it in Widescreen, or maybe Foxtel could pull their finger out and start broadcasting Arena in widescreen.
