Showcase will premiere Bored to Death, HBO’s ‘noir-rotic comedy’ about a Brooklyn writer who moonlights as an unlicensed private detective.
The half hour comedy stars Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Cracking Up), Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson.
Meet Jonathan Ames: writer, romantic, unlicensed private detective. Moonlighting from his job as a novelist and writer for a New York magazine, Jonathan is looking to jettison some heavy emotional baggage – his girlfriend just dumped him, okay! – through an unusual second career of cracking cases of missing persons, espionage and infidelity in the Big Apple.
How he solves anything is a mystery …
The serie, which premiered in September in the US, has been renewed to a second series by HBO.
Showcase will air double episodes over 4 weeks from 8:30pm Tuesday February 16th.

I agree, this was the funniest, well written program of 2009!!! The only problem it was 7 or 8 eps long… hopefully next season will be more!! Loved it!!!
