Former Diff'rent Strokes star is arrested on domestic assault in Utah.

Uh oh. Gary Coleman is back in the news.

The former Diff’rent Strokes star was arrested on one count of domestic assault in Utah, picked up because of a warrant stemming from a prior incident.

The matter is a misdemeanor.

According to TMZ, police would not release the identity of the victim.

Coleman has made headlines a number of times including being arrested for assault when he allegedly hit a fan with his truck outside a Utah bowling alley, suing his parents and former manager over misappropriation of funds, an assault charge in 1998 after he punched a woman, a citation for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and an appearance on Divorce Court due to marital difficulties.

Just weeks ago he was hospitalised following a seziure after a round of telephone interviews. He is also protesting a full frontal nudity scene from an upcoming straight-to-DVD film he costarred in called Midgets vs. Mascots.

In 2008 Coleman told TV Tonight, “There’s not much in my past that I look back on fondly. I look with very bright eyes upon the future.”

He is currently being held on $1,725 bail.

  1. looks like evil Yoda huh. The man worked his a”se off for Strokes, knowing it would typecast him for life. I’m wondering if he ever got any good psych help since then…

    Poor old Gary – life hasn’t been too kind to him since those heady days of sitcom royalty – they should make a film about the behind the scenes dramas of Diffren’t Strokes- but then again given so much has happened it would turn into a mini-series!!!

  6. It’s sad what has happened to the cast of Diff’rent Strokes with all of the kids in some kind of strife over the years. At least he hasn’t suffered the same fate as poor Dana Plato though.
