Neighbours replay
TEN has scheduled all five Neighbours episodes to replay tomorrow arvo and plans the same trick for next week.

TEN must be unhappy with its figures for Neighbours this week, it has scheduled all five episodes to replay tomorrow arvo.
In fact its scheduled another session on Saturday week too with all of next week’s episodes. It tried to call them “Encores” but that term is used to loosely in this biz for my liking. A repeat is a repeat….

Shows including Saving Babies, Life Is Wild, The Doctors, and One Tree Hill are out on these two dates. One Tree Hill was set to air on the 23rd. Saving Babies will air 1pm Sunday 24th.
Next year it might be wiser not to bring the show back quite so early if there aren’t enough viewers back to their regular routines.

I thought neighbours was returning monday week according to the add on ten, Channel eleven has been hovering on opening for so long that it passed by unnoticed, In this time of computer access one cant even watch the repeats online and has to waste saturday afternoon watching them to catch up. hmmmm channel ten/eleven get ur act together…
Lyn Scully is the most annoying, sad, and pathetic character that i have ever seen on tv.

Nothing Wrong with Neighbours.
The Sad Thing these days is the lack of an OC or other similar type of offering unless you have a Pay TV service.
The problem with Neighbours is the time slot, it’s up against ‘Today Tonight’ and ‘A current Affair’, who have rated well for the past few years, the qualities of the stories on Neighbours isn’t the problem. I can relate to Neighbours more then i can ‘Home and Away’, i can not believe people still watch Home and Away with the over the top stories they play out on that show. It is the australain version of Bold and the beautiful’. i will allow my kids to watch Neighbours but will not let them watch Home and Away because of the stories they have been telling of the past few years. Yes neighbours had their time when they too lost the plot, but they have found their feet and are slowly fighting their way back to find the true heart of the show. I miss Home and Away and would dearly love to watch it again but i find the in your face attempts at Amercian soap a little borish. Ten will not axe neighbours, it makes money for them overseas and still rates in the UK and Europe.
Channel 10 Neighbours, pretty boring its time to cancel this over run show permanently .
Or change the story line with shorter plot times and perhaps more characters like, Desperate Housewives.

What kind of ratings did Ten expect with the lacklustre promo they ran in the lead up to this week? It was so ridiculously over-the-top (as the majority of Neighbours promos are) and only focused on one storyline. The 2010 teaser that aired as part of last year’s season finale was much better. Ten should have just used that!
I’ll also add that it will be interesting to see the Neighbours ratings this year, which include recorded episodes. I believe I will see a nice rise in viewership. I personally usually record 3 a week, watch 2 live a week. The same probably goes for others. This would apply to Home and Away as well as any other soap.
