ONJ for Glee. JLo next?

Our Livvy's gonna be gettin' Physical with Jane Lynch.

Olivia Newton-John will be appearing in the next batch of Glee episodes.

ONJ will even sing “Physical” with Jane Lynch (now that’s camp).

“I’m so excited I can’t see straight!” Lynch said. “She provided the soundtrack for my tortured adolescence. Her charitable work and commitment to making others’ lives and the life of the planet better is so inspiring.”

Expect more stars to be lining up after that win at the Golden Globes yesterday.

JLo is already said to be waiting in the wings.

“I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple of weeks,” creator Ryan Murphy told TV Guide. “She said she wants to be on.”

  1. Thats great, Ill be watching more of Glee when it returns on TEN, I saw bits and pieces of it last year and some of the storylines annoyed me, the baby arc was horrible in my opinion.

Like most new shows, it takes a few episodes to hit its stride so I’d suggest “obtaining” a few more and seeing what you think. I’d find it hard to believe if “Acafellas” or “Showmance” didn’t have you in fits of laughter….

And FYI, they’re doing an entire episode of Madonna songs. She gave them free reign of her entire back catalogue. OMG. I cannot wait!

    1. I must admit I am never quite comfy with dramedies such as Glee, Tara and Nurse Jackie falling into a Comedy category over Drama, but that said it’s not about which show is “funniest” it’s about which is the most accomplished at what it does, even better when it breaks new ground. Glee has certainly taken some risks in bringing a musical narrative show back to television, had some storylines that push boundaries and stereotypes, uncovered a talented cast, had to stage musical numbers week in week out, and resonate with an audience. Some plots have been a bit slight but on the whole it’s been a great start.

  3. I hadn’t heard of this till it won the GG yesterday, for comedy. So I “obtained” the first episode and can’t quite see the reason for the award. To me it was a totally predictable combination of Fame and High School Musical, slightly more adult.

    Funny? Vaguely.
