Crash, the television series based on the 2004 film of the same name, will premiere next month on the Showcase channel.
Led by Dennis Hopper and set in Los Angeles, the series explores “the complexities of social and racial tolerance and the meaning of the American dream through characters whose lives intersect and collide as they strive to achieve that dream.”
Crash is the Starz Network’s first foray into original scripted drama. But the series has garnered mixed reviews.
The New York Times said, “Crash has a noirish appeal, and ambitions to tell a big story”, the LA Times said it was “Politically and socially ambitious,” Newsday called it “Gritty, jarring, profane, and smartly produced” and the Boston Globe said, “None of the stories or characters is remotely interesting.”
Showcase will air double episodes each week from 8:30m Tuesday March 16th and will follow immediately after with the second series.

Brilliant series, fantastic acting, looong character driven story arcs… It’s got it all. Nothing to do with the movie, but in a very similar vein…
