At the Movies will return soon with the Viewers Poll Results for the best movies of 2009.

David and Margaret return to At the Movies next week reviewing new films for Benecio del Toro, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine -and revealing the Viewers Poll Results for the best movies of 2009.

It airs 10pm Wednesdays on ABC1.

February 10
Valentine’s Day – romantic comedy written by Abby Kohn and Mark Silverstein, directed by Garry Marshall, and with a huge star-studded cast: Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Shirley MacLaine, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, George Lopez, Queen Latifah, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner.

Precious – Critically acclaimed film based on the novel Push by Sapphire. A harrowing story about a young Harlem teenager who is pregnant for the second time by her drug-addicted father and suffering abuse at the hands of her cruel mother. Six Academy Awards nominations including: Best Film, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Direction.

The Wolfman – Upon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man (Del Toro) is bitten, and subsequently cursed by, a werewolf. Stars Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins

A Prophet – A young Arab man is sent to a French prison where he becomes a mafia kingpin. Winner of the Grand Prix Award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, and nominated for Best Foreign Language Film – Academy Awards 2010.

    No they didn’t review Avatar unfortunately. David did do a review for his newspaper column and was very favorable of it. I haven’t seen Margaret if she reviewed it.

  2. It will be good to have Dave and Margaret back.
    Lauren I’m sure the 6pm repeat will remain, it will just be followed with Collectors instead of the Einstein Factor.

    David, you have mis-spelt films as filsm.
