Good News PM

The Prime Minister for Television Appearances will pop up tonight on Good News Week after he paid a visit to their last record.

It follows recent appearances on Sunrise, Q & A, Julia Gillard on Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? and Today.

The Opposition’s Joe Hockey was recently a guest on Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation and Meet the Press.

Rudd’s appearance will go up against Malcolm Turnbull’s appearance on Q & A tonight.

While the political shows are understandable, some are questioning the growing TV appearances by the Government in the lead up to a Federal Election.

Good News Week airs 8:30pm tonight on TEN.

  1. I’m sure he was fed some of his one-liners, but I actually thought this was funny. He’s clearly trying to cement his appeal withthe youth market, same as him doing talkback radio helps him with the older age-brackets.

  2. Funny how Rudd can find the time to appear weekly on Sunrise as well as other “easy” spots like GNW.

And yet, after 2 years, he still can’t find the time to appear on ABC’s Insiders.

    I wonder why that is?

  3. KRudd seems to be in election mode early, I think he is hoping that lightning will strike twice, remember in 07 he basically started his campaign the minute he was elected Opp Leader.

His appearance on Q&A the other week was embarrasing, he was quite condescending of some questions/answers and appeared very much out of touch with concerns of the youth in the audience.

Here’s hoping he continues to make a dill of himself, this guy needs to realise that his job is the run the country not try to be ‘everyone’s mate’.

  4. In addition to the ever growing list of celebrities he’s met, does Krudd have a Bucket List of TV Shows he must appear on before he dies?

The P in PM is not Popstar.

  5. Why bother? Liberal voters will hate him regardless, and he’s out of his element. Personality was never his sales pitch so he should just stick to political shows where personality is optional but technical information is more appreciated by the audience. Unless he’s gonna dance the macarena that is……..

  6. This irks me. Kevin Rudd back in his “Look at me, look at me. I’m just a regular bloke” mode. I think having the PM on will really limit the comments and behaviour of the rest of the panel. There have been regular comments about whaling in the last few weeks. Will there be any tonight? Doubtful. I hope it doesn’t become a bum kissing exercise. The appeal of this show is it’s equal opportunity bashing of both sides of politics. Did I mention this irks me?
