P!nk channels Kylie at the Grammys?

Updated: Was that Kylie's famous white shroud P!nk was wearing at the Grammys? And Prince Jackson gives a moving speech.

P!nk put in a fabulous aerial acrobatic performance of “Glitter In the Air” at today’s Grammy Awards, flying high above the crowd at the Staples Center -without missing a note.

But was that Kylie’s famous white shroud she was wearing at the top of the number?

The show also included Lady Gaga performing with Elton John, Beyonce and the Black Eyed Peas.

Michael Jackson’s children also spoke, with a moving speech from Michael “Prince” Jackson Jr: “We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father, Michael Jackson. First of all we’d like to thank God for watching over us for these past seven months. And our Grandma and our Grandpa for their love and support. Our father was always was concerned about the planet and humanity. … His message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you, Daddy.”

This year’s charity accessory worn by presenters is a simple red cross, no double in recognition of Haiti.

But just be glad you weren’t stuck sitting behind The Thing From Outer Space… I mean Lady Gaga.

  1. @Todd – it may have been the same performance as on her Funhouse tour, but whereas she had a gazillion concerts here in Australia and everyone has seen her show, that is not the case in the US, where she only did a handful of concerts. She is way more popular here in Oz than in the US; in fact she said after the Grammys that people were wondering, “Why is she here?” before she performed. That is probably why she got a standing ovation, because people did not realise her fantastic performance skills, whereas we in Australia are more ho-hum about it.
